Shane Austen has been posted to Darwin from 2013 for a while, and starts his training for his new role very soon. He has therefore had to step down from his role as CFI for helicopters. Many thanks for all your hard work in the role Shane.

We're fortunate that George Atkinson has agreed to take on the role, and will be responsible for the testing and certification of helicopter pilots at WRCS with immediate effect. George will be adding this to his portfolio - his role on the national heli team and his role as deputy CFI for MASNSW. It's a big load - many thanks George!

Doug Radford draws our attention to RCAdvisor.com, which you can access by clicking HERE.

This is a great website, authored by Carlos Reyes, who writes and consults on RC planes and unmanned aerial vehicles. There are frequent unbiased product reviews, tips, articles on battery discharge rates, battery maintenance, trimming, building, safety, servo problems, book reviews, rants etc, and you can also subscribe, for free, to the newsletter that Carlos sends out (as well as asking Carlos questions - if you wish).

Thanks for the tip Doug. One to add to oyur browser favourites.
