Saturday 10th November, and one of our experienced pilots was having trouble with his Thunder Tiger. This motor has been a model of reliability, and he had just fitted a new muffler.

Ever willing hands joined to help, around 150 years of combined modelling experience...checked fuel, changed glow, checked glow driver, cleared jet, spun the motor without the plug to ensure the fuel was coming through, could get a kick but no more than that...

...eventually the pilot (name witheld) was persuaded to take off the muffler.

Award yourself as many points as you feel you've earned if you can see the problem and, no, there is no need to add a comment at all!

The provisional event list for 2013 has now been published. Click HERE to see it.

One of the event days, Combat and Pylon Day, on 16th June 2013, will need at least 8 participants (preferably 8 in each class). You can "register" for this day by clicking in the box at the bottom of the page (HERE). You don't need to specify whether you'll be participating in combat, or pylon, or both!

It'd help us to know who's coming along.

Event rules have yet to be worked out. It's likely to be that you can use different aircraft for each event (ie combat and pylon will happen on the same day but they will be independent of each other), and both events are likely to be open to electric and internal combustion engines, possibly with different classes in pylon though!

It's going to be a busy year in 2013. Do let me know if there are any clashes or any events that i've missed.

Thanks

Clive
